| The industrial activity of Ferriera Valsider rolling mill is divided into two different production lines: heavy plate mill and hot rolled coils. The hot rolled coils, low and medium carbon content, was designed for a production capacity of up to 700,000 tons per year. The working process for hot rolled coils production is completely automatic and controlled by a PLC electronic system. Only a few settings are pre-set before rolling. Production of structural steel for general purpose carried out in accordance with the EN 10025 European norm that concerns hot rolled coils of non-alloy structural steels. The company has been operating for only a few years but it can already be classed as an important industry in hot rolled coils and steel plate production. |
